Just As Erik or Erik Gabriel Hoiby is an artist, dancer, vocalist, musical artist and songwriter with years of experience. Educated at Balettakademien in Gothenburg, starred in musicals for over 10 years with the leading part in Priscilla at Göta Lejon and Singin’ in the Rain at Kristianstad’s theater, danced in Eurovision and participated in Swedish melodifestivalen with the synth-duo amongst other things. Just. As. Erik is his own project where he can be – just Erik. “J.A.E is my own baby where I can be myself without playing a part, read someone else’s lines or sing their songs. Just create music that I feel something for without being categorized or simplified” His debutalbum “Play” will be released this autumn together with the multimedia company Flick Agency, where he worked with well-established songwriters and producers who previously worked with big names as , and – but also up and coming producers that in a playful way shaped a musical language that is Just. As. Erik’s sound with strong melodies, personal lyrics and a melancholic nerv. His newest single was released 26th of March and is a story about his own battle between anxiety and emotions.
